Reflect-O-Ray® Vacuum-Vented Infrared Radiant Heating

What your thermostat isn’t telling you.

In a large shop or barn, air temperature and building temperature are two completely different numbers. Only one of them tells the truth about what’s happening inside your building.

The thermostat said both were warm.

On the same January night at −35°C, surface temperatures inside two Western Canadian shops told completely different stories. One ran a near-28°F spread across walls, doors, and equipment. The other — with Reflect-O-Ray overhead radiant — held under 5°F across every surface.

Air temperature is what the thermostat reads. Surface temperature is what the building actually is.

Heat the building.
Not just the air.

Most heating systems warm the air and rely on convection to carry that warmth through the space. In a small room that works. In a large shop or barn — with cold walls, overhead doors, heavy equipment, and ceilings that trap warm air before it ever reaches the work zone — the air loses.

Reflect-O-Ray is a low-intensity infrared radiant tube heating system. It delivers energy as infrared waves that interact directly with surfaces — walls, doors, equipment, steel, concrete. Those surfaces absorb it, warm up, and re-radiate heat back into the space. The building itself becomes the heat source.

That’s why every surface in the Evergreen shop reads within a few degrees of every other. Not because the air is hot — because the mass is warm.

Built for the building,
not the other way around.

Three tube diameters, each matched to a different type of environment. The system scales to the space.

3.5″

EDS 3.5

Precision-controlled environments where surface temperature uniformity is critical. Poultry barns, calf barns, stables, show facilities — anywhere animal comfort and even heat distribution are non-negotiable. Front-end intensity tunable with thermal control tubing. One of the few systems of its kind on the market.

Low Ceiling Precision
4″

EDS 4.0

The commercial and agricultural workhorse. Large shops, vehicle and equipment facilities, warehouses, agricultural buildings. Delivers the radiant reach and balanced output that large open volumes demand. Stainless steel available for corrosive environments.

Shops Agriculture Commercial
6″

EDS 6.0

Built for high-bay. Aircraft hangars, large industrial facilities, and any space where ceiling height demands extended radiant travel before exhaust. When the building is big, the system needs to match it.

High Bay Industrial Hangars

Available in natural gas, propane, oil-fired (3.5″ EDS), and stainless steel for corrosive environments.

Quicker. Faster. Further. Stronger. Safer.

Quicker

Effective radiant output in 3–6 minutes — not the hours a hydronic slab needs after a cold start or an open door.

Faster

When a door opens at −35°C the building responds from mass that’s already warm. Rebuilding heat from the floor up every time isn’t recovery — it’s starting over.

Further

Vacuum venting draws output along the full tube length. Multi-burner runs to a single exhaust cover distances and patterns that linear systems can’t reach.

💪

Stronger

Low-mass aluminized spiral tubing transfers heat efficiently along the entire run. Balanced emissivity. No hot front. No dead rear. Usable heat throughout.

🛡

Safer

Pressure differential monitoring detects any change in system integrity — a damaged tube, a physical impact, anything. The flame shuts down immediately. A pressure system running hot has no equivalent protection.
